Residential Hotel Pipeline Soundproofing Solution

Drainage and sewage pipeline noise is primarily generated by structural vibrations induced by continuous water flow impacting the pipe wall, representing one of the most prevalent sources of concealed acoustic disturbance in residential buildings and hotels. Traditional pipe lagging with cotton wrapping provides only rudimentary sound absorption and fails to suppress pipe wall vibrations, resulting in limited acoustic insulation effectiveness and an inability to fundamentally resolve the issue of abnormal flow-induced noise within pipelines. Our newly developed acoustic lagging membrane specifically engineered for piping systems addresses the critical challenge of vibration-borne sound transmission in pipelines. It delivers superior sound insulation performance, facilitates convenient installation, and offers exceptional conformability, enabling tight wrapping around various types of drainage pipes. This solution effectively dampens pipe wall vibrations and blocks the propagation of flow-induced noise. Suitable for acoustic retrofitting of water supply and drainage piping systems across diverse building types—including residential and hospitality projects—the system resolves the issue of inter-unit flow noise cross-talk at its source, substantially enhancing the acoustic comfort and tranquility of interior spaces.

Installation Methods

  • 1

    1. Prepare the tools: scissors, towel

  • 2

    2. Clean the inside of the water pipe thoroughly

  • 3

    3. Prepare the materials, soundproof felt and soundproof cotton

  • 4

    4. Cut the soundproofing material to the actual size

  • 5

    5. Lay a layer of 2mm soundproof felt

  • 6

    6. Lay a layer of rubber soundproofing cotton

Product Information

SIDS-texca environmentally friendly damping soundproof mat integrates with the pipeline, and its strong damping properties change the resonance frequency of the pipe wall, avoiding the frequency response caused by water flow impact and eliminating noise sources, achieving comprehensive noise control.

* Before applying the SIDS-texca environmentally friendly damping soundproof mat, the pipe wall must be cleaned and completely dry, with no dust, before adhesion.
* The amount of product used can be adjusted according to individual needs, adhering 1-3 layers. Each additional layer of the same material can increase sound insulation by about 3dB/A, and the pipe wall thickness increases by ≤2mm per layer.

2mm damping layer, surface laminated with 100μm soft aluminum foil, with a density of 4.2kg/m²; the non-equivalent laminated material complies with the law of sound insulation mass. After combining with the damping layer, it changes the original material's own vibration frequency and dissipates sound energy, increasing the original material's sound insulation by ≥270%. Ultra-flexible, suitable for any solid base material, a conformable material not limited by shape, structure, or space. Single-sided super-strong self-adhesive, fully integrates into the base material's surface.

  • Professional sound insulation

The material is thin and light, no longer bloated, and the composite partition volume can reach 50 decibels.

    1
  • Highly Versatile

Easily fits three pipe diameters: 50, 75, and 110, and is compatible with all elbows.

    2
  • Convenient construction

Since Webert soundproof felt can be directly attached to the water pipe, the construction is fast.

    3
  • Eco-friendly Materials

Webote soundproofing felt uses processes and raw materials that meet E1 environmental standards, offering excellent acoustic performance for sound absorption and noise reduction.
